For over 250 years this Trade Mark has been known for quality in Scythes and Mower Blades of all kinds. In 1851 Thomas Garfitt was awarded a Bronze medal at the Great Crystal Palace Exhibition, and Bronze Medals were also won in Paris in 1855, London in 1856 and Sydney in 1869 for excellence of workmanship. These Medals are still in possession of the present company. We no longer make Scythes but we still do our utmost to maintain the high standards which Thomas Garfitt set in the past, we offer the blades/tines in this list with the confidence born of long experience. Over the last 30 years the demands of the Turf Maintenance Industry has changed and as a result Garfitts have moved with the times. The manufacturing techniques and product range has expanded to serve the changing demands of the consumer and Garfitts remain the leading supplier to the golf course industry.
